Hey I am sure Noora loves Doha because of the lovely weather.....after all it doesn't go above 30 degrees.......and lots of sun to get....lol
If I could get back in my previous job back in India I would run for it.....The salary here is big but the Qatar's "H-Tax" (housing) takes away half of it.....Qatar's "V-Tax" (Vehicle EMI) takes away another chunk...so what is remaining is lesser than what I earned back home......wait I haven't deducted school fees & other expenses....All this while my previous colleagues, back home, are earning double of what they were earning in 2005.....
Back home One of my collegues has bought 2 appartments, another one of my relative now has 3appartments. I am stuck paying my EMI for the 1st. Well if I hadnt the Car I too could have had one more appartment .
Now after the 1st car I will have to buy the 2nd car here in Doha. So no buyihng new appartment for at least another 3yrs!!! After that I wonder if the prices will be beyond me!!!
So when I go back ...say in 10yrs.....I would be remaining at the same spot (infact I will still be feeling my way about in a "new town" that previously used to be my native place) while all my colleagues would have "progressed". OK they will never own/drive a Honda Civic in their lifetime.....but what use is that for me?
In one line Doha is Very Expensive! |
