World will be at peace when Jesus returns, says scholar
DOHA: Director and founder of Bridge to Faith in USA Dr Yusuf Estes delivering a lecture entitled “Return of Jesus” at FANAR yesterday said an extraordinary peace for which the war-torn world longs today will come one day when Jesus or Prophet Isaa (PBUH) returns.
“Jesus will come at a time when the whole world is at war,” he said. “He will lead his people to victory and restore peace. The return of Jesus will bring so much tranquillity and calm to the earth beyond imagination. It will be so peaceful that lamb would lay down with the lion. Jesus’ birth was a miracle though not the biggest miracle on earth.”
“The universe followed by the creation of Adam and Hawwa (PBUT) are the greatest miracles. Jesus’ birth was a miracle and he did many miracles. He cured people with disabilities and diseases. Muslims believe in these facts, however we believe that he did it with Allah’s help.”
Dr Estes said that, “Allah” is the same word used by Christian Arabs and Jewish Arabs in their Holy Books, centuries before Islam came. On the first page of Genesis in the Old Testament, the word “Allah” is repeated 17 times. He rebuffed at the rumours that Islam was spread by the sword. “Islam never preaches or says a word about the sword. It is hard to find any synonym for sword in the Holy Quran whereas it is said more than 200 times in the Bible.”
The Return of Jesus lecture turned a new page in the life a of safety officer of a Qatari real estate firm Jojo Samorin. The young Filipino converted to Islam witnessed by thousands who thronged to Dr Estes’ lecture. Inspired by Estes, he took the name Yusuf Samorin, saying the Shahada the first pillar of Islam.

he is great! i saw one of his lectures in the UK a while back, he was so funny! he was wearing the traditional gulf clothes, he is a great guy! isnt he the guy the grew up with a background of being in the church, i mean i think his father was a pastor..
