After just nine months in Office, US President was awarded the Nobel Peace prize, lots of people were surprised and was calling the move premature, what do you think?
I voted No. because I really dont see any peace that Obama has accomplished instead i can see him continuing wars in Afghanistan and proving guns to a weak somali goverment to kill more people.
When the world pushes you to your knees, your are in the perfect position to pray.
Actually of all the people in the world ...he is the only one who seem to be trying to change the situation....lol
Anybody who tried to change something would know for sure how difficult it is. People have difficulty changing to different social networking sites.......and we are talking about war.
We have to remember Obama is surrounded by smart, well connected, nazi-minded businessmen who are making huge profits from the War. Its not easy for him. Whom does he run for help?
Also the country is in ruins ....economically.....their car companies that ruled the world are almost broke....US cannot afford "American Labour expenses" and then compete in the world market.
Even his own countrymen think he is inexperienced and an embarrassment...
I believe the Peace Price has never reached and will never reach a more fitting person....
two things I can recall that he did was:
1. Close Guantanamo
2. Call to revamp the US education system.
Johnson, Guantanamo is open and the military tribunals are continuing, maybe they gave him the medal because he says he wants to make peace. just words. no action.

Mr Obama has said he wants the Guantanamo Bay camp closed by 2010.
I think we will have to wait one more year before we see the close down. (say by Dec 2010). It looks there were no proper files on the inmates....which is indeed shocking!
he has done no good... and what i have heard is that he implemented offensive strategy in Afghanistan whereas earlier the american soldiers were operating on a defensive mode in there.
given that, how does someone get a peace award... i guess its because of the old saying that goes " if u want peace.. prepare for war"
