Eid Al Fitr in Qatar

The first day of Eid Al Fitr will fall on Sunday, September 20, according to Sheikh Salman bin Jabor al Thani, head of the astronomy department at the Qatari Scientific Club.

Sheikh Jabor said  in a press a statement today that the Shawwal crescent will be born at 9:44PM on Friday  September 18 corresponding to Ramadan 28 and  therefore it can not be seen,  and can be investigated on the following day Saturday September 19  corresponding to  Ramadan  29,  where the age of the crescent  that day will be  19 hours  and 49 minutes  and can be seen but with difficulty  therefore  Sunday  September 20  will be the first day of Eid al Fitr, sheikh Jabor added. I havent noticed any prepration for extravagance this time compared to last Eids, although Qatar doesnt tend to celebrate much this Eid compared to Eid Al Atha.

I am kind of agree to Jim there is no excitement on Eid in Qatar
