Haj registration for this year opens today
The Haj Pilgrimage Affairs Committee at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs announced that the registration and application for Haj for 1430 AH will begin today and continue until the end of this month.
Jassim bin Mohamed al-Kubaisi, Deputy Chairman of the committee, announced at a press conference yesterday that Qatar’s official quota for Haj this year was 1,500 pilgrims.
Giving details of the prices, new terms and procedures this year, Kubaisi said expatriates could register and apply for Haj electronically through the Haj Affairs Committee’s website (www.hajj.gov.qa), while nationals could apply directly through the Haj campaigns offices.
Expatriates who wish to go on Haj this year can visit the committee’s website from today, Kubaisi said, stressing the necessity of entering the correct information and data in a proper way.
He said that after the registration stage was completed the committee would sort out the applications and inform accepted applicants through SMS service within two weeks.
