Share your good or bad experiences here in Qatar:

Me, Since 7 years I'm working here in Qatar and feels very comfortable with my life and job at present.
I don't know about the future, till now I enjoyed a good time with my friends around.
Trust me
i dunno i kinda never agree to the fact that lifes simpler, transparent, secured, peaceful, kinda laidback down here in qatar....even though i hav never had compaints with my life as i have  lived here for around ......hmmmm..forever...
No man is a failure who is enjoying life.
we ended up here by the qadrah of Allah ,never planed on coming here ,  masha allah  I like it here because it makes things easier for me in my religion, also save place for kids ,less crime , .....BUT there are always good and bad no matter where you go in the world
I like it here. Hasn't always  been easy but I still like it so far.

AA thanks for your reply
Trust me
man i just love my job!! its amazing!!
yeah u got it..  i sleep all day long
lol umair, sounds very boooorrrrring, the day is so long if you have nothing to do, and you look at the clock all the time and wait to go home, at least out of my experience
i am comfortable but some times find problems as the working culture feel slow...
I am speechless,  as i want to work, but not getting a job....
sometimes it's ok sometimes it's not but i am here and am still here, living life and trying to get the better of it.

Qatar is a great place for oppertunities but only if u work hard for them... i still get a bit bummed from the lack of social spots and i have had some bad experience with female friends over here, but other than that lifes groovy

well if we concentrate on WORK area, i found most of the arab people remained relaxed all the time( this comment is for people who are in my company)
Xray... we are the visitors here...
Trust me
I am very disappointed about the service in the official hospitals and medical health centers in Doha... I made some bad experience there... Employees in the hospitals are very unfriendly... they are don´t show it open and of course they give you any information you need (even though only the half), but you can feel there reactions are not coming from the heart, specially when they see you are not Arab, Asian or African. It seems to me they feel as if they are something better and they usually prefer Arabs and treat them before others, even if you come first.
Also the waiting times are usually terrible long and the whole atmosphere let you feel worse than better.

I prefer the private hospital, even though it's usually expensive... But the service is much better there and employees are friendly and seem to me more professional and active.
agree with Sabrina..... it sucks big time .....

Thx for my AXA Insurance card, i usually go to privats hospitals like Al Ahli, Emadi etc. etc. for any treatments
sabrina...you are correct...I had also some bad experiences in public services...
Trust me
Actually Qatar is a very secure place, but like samya said, it's socially dead. I still compare it to my home and still don't get it when people say theyre happy around here. Been here for a while, and still feels like day one. Everything is so different to me here.
actually the problem is we have only one big hospital in Qatar...when things go bad patients from Al Ahli, Emadi etc end up at the Public Hospital which sees 800 plus patients a day in it's ED...It's bursting at it's seams and yet does a pretty good job...but on a really busy day it's really difficult to do anything...it's high time Qatar got some more big Public Hospitals

I`m walking under the rain to hide my tears!
Qatar is home country to me though my passport is not of a Qatari... i love this place with its emptiness... now things are getting crowded and hope its for even more affection (i doubt that)...

in short (with a personal view)... Qatar is a Rehab.

ive been here 1.5 years and i still cant get used to it, its just not the place i want to live my life forever..Its got some greats things about it but the bad outweighs the good for me.
The health system is a big one for me, ive been to public and priate hospitals and i hope we will never need it for any big issues because i will go straight home if that was the case rather than being treated here. Altough in my experience i found the public health system here the best, Hamad hospital is excellent. If you need serious treatment like Doc said everyone gets sent to public hospitals and thats saying something, private hospitals arent equipped enough and they are just out there to make money with crappy service.

Noora there will soon be some good news on this front...the hospitals are slowly on the way to restructuring themselves to ensure better health to all the people of Qatar...

actually i have no problems with the public hospitals here, just the private ones and its a pity as we have top medical cover and we use public because i havent found any good private hospitals, most have been bad experiences but when i go to hamad esp PEc, its been great..
Ive hear emadi hospital is good but i havent yet tried it..

Hope they dont restrict the social life like how they are doing now in Dubai....becoming another Iran & North Korea.....

As tourism increased in Dubai....the locals became more aware of the tourist's behavior which they consider "scandalous" ....even people holding hands.....

so true Noora, i'll finish my year here and go back home, not worth it
Oh rania you are luckier than me if your sentence finishes earlier than mine..
