Qtel launches new online service

Qtel has launched a new facility that provides online payment solution to its corporate customers.
Named ‘BillXpress’ the service enables corporate clients to see all communications costs online in real-time, through an easy-to-access interface.
Qtel said BillXpress helps companies itemise communication across different departments and cost centres.
“The solution enables businesses to better understand which areas are driving communication costs, and also develop policies that ensure full return on communication investment,” a Qtel spokesman said.
Qtel said it was confident that its new solution would be “warmly received” by businesses across Qatar, particularly those with significant workforces across multiple locations.
To help clients better understand how this advanced technology can benefit their businesses, Qtel held the first in a series of special workshop sessions at the Four Seasons yesterday.
Khalid Abdulla al-Mansouri, Qtel executive director (Business Solutions), said: “Qtel enjoys a very strong relationship with its corporate clients. We have continued to discuss and analyse with them their changing needs.
“BillXpress is the result of this process of dialogue with our clients. We are confident they will appreciate the immediate savings on time and money that it delivers, as well as the longer-term process enhancements for their own organisations.”
The new service delivers a number of key features including easy registration and password encryption; secure online logins; and the ability to retrieve bills.
In addition, BillXpress has been configured to generate “Pre-defined dynamic reports” so that companies can integrate the management of communication costs with their business strategy, and even download and submit standard payment report files directly to Qtel.
Corporate clients who deploy the solution will see immediate benefits in terms of reducing the man hours necessary to sort and submit bills from different offices, and will also have clearer oversight across their operations.
For Qtel, the development of BillXpress is an important step forward in its business support strategy.
Al-Mansouri said: “By developing new solutions like BillXpress, Qtel is responding directly to the needs of our customers, and demonstrating our understanding of the role we can play in enhancing businesses in Qatar.
“There is also an important social element, as online applications reduce the use of paper and minimise waste and transport costs in the delivery and payment of bills. This has important implications for the national environment.”
Qtel will organise a series of meetings for various groups of customers throughout April to introduce the new service.
