Historic Win for India

Historic, Win, India, Hamilton, New Zealand

Hamilton, New Zealand: India broke a 33-year drought when a six-wicket haul by Harbhajan Singh spun them to a 10-wicket victory over New Zealand in the first Test here yesterday.
Harbhajan’s 6-63 wizardry, following an iconic 160 by Sachin Tendulkar, formed the cornerstone of India’s first Test success in New Zealand since 1976.
They wrapped the game up with more than a day to spare after New Zealand were all out in their second innings for 279, and India knocked off the required 39 runs in 5.2 overs.

By winning in Hamilton they have got back on track with their record in the
five years before that where they won first Tests in Pakistan, Bangladesh,
Zimbabwe and South Africa and drew the opener in Pakistan, West Indies,
Bangladesh and England.

yeah sam, i grew up with two brothers in the house, we used to play cricket all the time, had no choice, i was a tomboy we used to play soccer, aussie footy and cricket.

I ve played with females in school....with real cricket ball....helmet et all.....not that they cant play....

I studied for a short time in Sachin Tendulkar's school (Shardashram School, Dadar, Mumbai)....famous for churning out Cricketers.....left the school because the teachers spoke in Marathi instead of English....long story...lol

Mumbai has a lot of professional Women in Cricket, Hockey & Basket Ball.

Johnson what else will they play cricket with? high heels, of course they use "real' cricket balls. Besides wht were you doing on the womens team

Noora...when there were not enough girls for them to play cricket....which were often .....they used to play with boys for practice....they were senior to us.....same also for Hockey.....

Here most of the cricket is played with tennis ball....sometimes green (lighter ball) is used sometimes red(little heavier)ball is used......
